Paralegal
Lynnette Tay Wei Lynn is a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution and Financial Crimes & Asset Recovery Practice Group in Messrs Zharif Nizamuddin.
Prior in embarking her journey in Litigation, she started her legal career as an intellectual property Paralegal attached to one of the largest corporate law firms in Malaysia where she had gained invaluable insights on the various facets of intellectual property law, including the protection of innovations and creative works. Lynnette also had various opportunities to work alongside with private investigators as well as officers from The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs on raids relating to trademark infringements.
In her current role, Lynnette is building her knowledge in both disputes and the defence against allegations of financial crimes alongside fellow colleagues in the Firm. She regularly steps out of her comfort zone and has been called upon by the team to contribute in the research process as well as the drafting process of complicated cases undertaken by the Firm.
Outside of the legal field, Lynnette is a person who enjoys walking during the evening and her undeniable love towards her cats.
Lynnette currently holds a Bachelors of Law (Hons) from University of Liverpool, England and as of now, she is engaging in a dual pursuit between balancing work commitments as well as her studies for the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
