Notable Cases

• Successfully defended a suit regarding the purported liabilities of a Member of Parliament arising from inter alia, an election manifesto, and the preservation of his constitutional rights as enshrined under the Federal Constitution.

• Successfully represented a client in defending a claim premised on the tort of conspiracy concerning an open tender, and subsequent award of a RM10 million contract by the Royal Police Malaysia.

• Successfully obtained Mareva injunctions in various occasions whereby the sums involved were in excess of RM10 million.

• Successfully represented aggrieved purchasers of an abandoned housing project in Batang Kali in removing court appointed liquidators for inordinate delay in winding-up the affairs of the property developer concerned.

• Successfully defended a suit filed by PERKIM Selangor in relation to the revocation of an irrevocable power of attorney granted to the then CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary.

• Represented the Royal Military College Old Putera Association Malaysia in a suit filed by its tenant, which culminated in the mutual termination of the disputed tenancy agreement.

• Provided legal opinion to a subsidiary of Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated concerning employee misconduct and the recommended course of action.

• Successfully represented a local celebrity in settlement negotiations with the Inland Revenue Board with respect to the withdrawal of an intended bankruptcy proceeding following alleged tax arrears.

• Acting for clients who have been defrauded by a purportedly licensed and family-run property developer in Kedah involving claims in excess of RM2 million.

• Representing an individual and company in 2 separate suits against amongst others, a local politician and his companies for alleged fraud and unjust enrichment involving claims in excess of RM29 million.
