Gloria

Gloria Guri is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial Practice Group of Messrs Zharif Nizamuddin with a diverse background in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, family law, employment law, and immigration law. Gloria is also seconded to the firm's affiliate, ZN River Sdn Bhd as a Manager - Corporate Commercial, where she plays a pivotal role in corporate and commercial matters.

Gloria's legal journey began in a boutique law practice located in Kuala Lumpur, in association with Gateway Law Corporation, Singapore, and NG Partnership where she built a strong reputation in both contentious and noncontentious areas. She further honed her expertise at Tuang, Chu & Co.

In the realm of intellectual property, Gloria has actively advised a diverse clientele, including inventors, start-up businesses, entrepreneurs, and government agencies. Her strategic counsel has enabled these clients to effectively protect and maximise the value of their intellectual property assets. She has also managed intellectual property portfolios for multinational corporations, ensuring their assets are safeguarded both locally and internationally.

Gloria's expertise extends to corporate and commercial law, where she has assisted in the establishment and incorporation of private companies and representative offices in Malaysia. She provides comprehensive legal guidance to these entities, covering contractual obligations and employment-related matters. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in share transfers and corporate restructuring for multinational corporations, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with legal requirements.

In her recent work, Gloria has assisted clients in addressing inquiries from the Securities Commission and has been instrumental in advising and rendering her assistance in preparing documentation for the registration of Venture Capital Management Corporations with the Securities Commission. She has also demonstrated her drafting expertise by preparing commercial contracts that align with clients' business objectives.
